- Use the MMTC Library's Research Tools page to quickly find good information.

- When writing a paper, look for several types of sources, including:

Encyclopedia articles
Online Books
Web sites from non-biased sources that use good balanced data.

- Stay focused. Don't get distracted by interesting, but off-topic, information.

- Keep only "good" sources. Look for:

A balanced presentation of facts
A trustworthy authority sponsoring the site
A current date
An author and the author's credentials
Sources the author used
